Animals

SVF Foundation's mission is to cryopreserve germplasm (semen, embryos and cells) from rare and endangered breeds of domestic livestock. Many of the breeds selected for cryopreservation come from the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy's (ALBC) Conservation Priority List.

SVF Foundation works collaboratively with the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine to fulfill its mission. Once at SVF, animals are maintained to an exceptionally high standard by our qualified herdspeople in consultation with veterinarians from Tufts.
