The quality of semen collected by SVF Foundation is very important. Several examinations of the sperm are preformed both before and after freezing to confirm motility and morphology. |

Laproscopic Camera
As a part of the small ruminant embryo flush the operating veterinarian examines the reproductive tract of the female with a special piece of equipment called a laparoscope. This device allows the veterinarian to determine whether or not to go ahead and perform the embryo flush, preventing any unnecessary surgery.
What you see in this clip is the ovary of a sheep being manipulated. This ovary has had a good superovulatory response (the red bumps indicate ovulation). |
